Do title/mortgage companies realize how annoying it...
...is when they ask insurance agents for a binder on a home? That is closing, like we can just turn around and pull it out of our a$$? A binder is a legal document extending coverage to a home, auto, etc. Hence the word BINDING!!!! They ask for them like it's just some extra sheet of paper we can toss their way, then act annoyed if it takes us a while... SORRY YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS OF QUOTING AND WRITING THE POLICY BEFORE A "BINDER" CAN BE ISSUED! I wish anyone working on the mortgage side of things realizes the difficulty it takes to get a "binder" to you guys... It's like asking for all of your closing docs to be in your hand, the same day you tell your realtor to put in an offer!
