...foreclosure that is listed for sale? How long will it take? We just recently put an offer in on a Foreclosure. The offer was excepted and we were suppose to close on Sept 1st. Before we closed we ran a title search and found out the house had two mortgages with the second mortgage given priority over the first. This means they were recorded out of order. How long should this take for it to get resolved? What is the worst case scenario? How do they resolve something like this? Does it have to go to court? Is there anything I can do? Thanks for any help!

Both mortgages will have to be settled before the home can be sold. If the mortgages are with different companies, they may go to court to see who gets what moneys, or they could settle it fast so they both get some money. It could be messy! There is not really anything you can do to move it faster other then call people every week to see if things are moving! It could take days or months to fix!
