Gently please ? In WA state a friend of mine has a terrible driving record... suspended license etc... He is my X and since we split up I gave him my second car. Does he have to have a drivers license to register the car in his name? Does he have to have proof of insurance? Currently he is driving my car with my insurance. I want to make the transition as painless as possible for both of us. He needs to drive and I don't like the risk! Suggestions for help... I know ownership needs to change, just want positive suggestions to make it happen.
