New: Trying to buy a short (WaMu)
Hello everyone.
Just browsing the internet to get some information on the wamu short sale process and found this forum. Background: Currently Renting [couldn't afford to buy a whole lot of house before the market] Found a nice home in October Made offer 17, October 2008 Waited... Applied for our mortgage in December [approved and waiting] WaMu had to stop sheriiff sale about 15 days ago WaMu orderd re-appraisal of the property about 10 days ago [appraisal seems to have happend] Haven't heard anything since I'm just trying to find out how much more involved we can be as buyers. Anyway, thanks for hosting all this information...     |

sorry I left that bit out...
We have an agent that is familiar with shorts who has been handling a lot of the paperwork on our (buyer) side. The sellers also have an agent and a short sale guy [he calls himself a negotiator] that has been working with WaMU to get the package submitted and resubmitted. From what I have read here and on other sites, the resubmission portion is a pretty common step on the WaMu side of things. |
