I am looking for some direction - information on how to get started as a consultant. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to start? I am in California - been in the mortgage industry for 7 plus years as a mortagage underwriter. I am very familiar with Fannie/Freddie, WAMU, Wells, and Countrywide. I really want to help people stay in their homes - while making a living for myself

I have seen many courses offered on line ranging from $300 - $2000. I have seen where some places you pay for leads - to companies providing leads. Diffents amounts you can charge for service - etc.

If anyone can give me some direction - advice - I would welcome it!

Thanks!
