LEGAL RECOURSE for Mortgage/Foreclosure...
...victims? Have heard at least two people w/ similar thoughts about this. One was yesterday on radio talk show while a state legislator was the invited guest. One of the participants in the radio station asked him if there was possibility of money being returned to homeowners because of excess taxes paid on homes which were clearly worth much less than they were being assessed for by the city/county, etc. While not staying around to hear answer_since I know how politicians work!_I recall a similar opinion from someone days back. Now I read latest news on these Mortagage/Real Estate related frauds, and I cannot believe my eyes: The CEO of the up till now reputable COUNTRYWIDE will be investigated for unloading 4.9 Million shares worth $138 million dollars in less than a year, just as the "subprime"crisis was heating up.
Tax assessors who not even questioned discrepancies when home prices doubled and even trippled in price in couple of months should respond for this by returning money!
