Do foreclosure laws apply where the borrower lives
or where the mortgage company is based? We are currently 2 and a half months behind on our mortgage payments. We have contacted the company and the most they are willing to do is reduce our payments by less than $80. My son was involved in an auto accident in which he broke his neck. We have and are still incurring tremendous medical expenses. My husband has also been in and out of the hospital due to a birth defect where he was born with only one kidney. We don't know what to do.lffy - what world are you living in? You mustn't have children. The first and most important thing is my child's life and well being. I feel sorry for you. Don't you have someone to love? Yes, I agree a roof over his head is very important but without him alive, what good would that do...I'm asking for "professional" advise. I feel bad enough without your making me feel more like a failure. Stick to what you know or don't respond.Ghost of Zeus- what is that supposed to mean? I'm not buying anything! I'm not begging for anything. I'm trying to find a way to continue to meet my obligations as I have done for the past 25 years! I am not a dead beat! I work at an elementary school. I am a responsible, contributing member of society. I don't have food stamps, and have never applied for any assistance. I don't stay home and let others work for my monthly check. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!? Oh my God. Forget it. You people are beyond me.
