me or my mortgage holder, too hard? My husband and I bought our home 14 months ago on a 5 year term.A friend of a friend bought the home and a legal mortgage was written. We are the deed holder of the home. At the end of the 5 yrs we were to find a lender for the remaining amount. We are not late, never have been. We have held up to our end of the bargain. Well, now he wants out. Our home has gone down in value about 15k. We tried getting a loan but can't yet. We're ahead of schedule to clear up some bad debt but obviously we planned for more time. We have 5.5 interest. He wants us to get any loan possible, sign a promissory note so he has NO loss but he wants to end our legal agreement early. What do I do? He did help but we are not ready! He wants the cash to help his daughter with her new pool and pool house in Florida. This is my family home. I have roots! Cut my losses or save at all cost.

One thing I recommend is checking out this site To view links in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. Your post count is 0 momentarily. because they do this report that will qualify you with up to 40 different banks or something and also offer free loan modification assistance. Its cheap i think its like less than $40 bucks and you pay a monthly fee of like 30 dollars to update the report anytime and make sure you get the best loan! they qualify you based on the application you fill out so it checks out your situation..i got this and it helped me..hope that helps!

I'm a bit confused here but it sounds like you purchased a home from a friend of a friend who, and they financed it... is that right? If so then the answers are all within the documents you signed. Does it say that the mortgagee can modify the terms of the mortgage at any point, or is there a process that has to go through? If not then the mortgage instrument should take it's course. The mortgagee (lender) can't just say sorry they don't like the mortgage they gave you and want you to pay it off sooner without some legal reason to do so. What are the titles of the documents you signed?
I would not recommend you follow the advice of going a website where you blindly put your information in without knowing who is getting your information. It's a good way for your identity to get ripped off, so if you think you have credit issues now.. watch what happens when your identity gets stolen. |
