Default Do mortgage companies have to send default notice...

...before foreclosure? I have been told that once you are behind they mortgage company sends a Default Notice, stating a specific amount owed by a certain date. My question is, does the mortgage company HAVE to send this out before sending out the foreclosure notice?

You will get some sort of notification that your house will be going for foreclosure. Most likely you will be served the papers from the county sheriff's department.
