Default Why don't we have a 50 year fixed rate home

mortgage to lower monthly payments and prevent more foreclosures?

Some lenders use to actually provide 50 year fixed rate loans. But due to their risk and the markets current situation that product no longer exists. Well at least not with any of my lenders.
