Default Has anyone made the connection between foreclosure and...

...health ins and the new mortgage rules put in place? I have not seen anyone make the correlation between the fact that when I had to quit my job to care for my disabled daughter I have been denied health care insurance. Thats ok 1 of the reasons for the decision was because Blue Cross Blue Shield refused to pay the contracted dental and doctor bills in 2003 plus they were raising the cost of this non insurance. The lack of insurance caused me to choose between paying the mortgage payment and my medicine that makes it possible to care for my daughter and son. I chose the medicine and my house has been foreclosed upon.

The other things are they wrote into the contract that they could refuse payments after a missed payment making it impossible to play catch up when the medicine was to expensive.

I'm sorry to read all this and I wish you all the best. This is just one example of why we really need state-run, universal health care. Those who can afford supplemental insurance then could buy whatever they need.

You may not get to watch HDTV on a big LCD screen in the waiting room, but at least you're covered and don't need to worry about similar situations. In all honesty, look at Spain, Canada, France and the UK and how they provide excellent care to anybody.
