Were Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac ever...
...considered to be a part of Wall Street? As long as I can remember, the two entities have been looked upon with great suspicion by all the finance types I can think of. Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac were and are quasi-governmental agencies.
