tell them to "produce the note". They CANNOT foreclose on you if they cannot prove they actually own the mortgage. It is possible that if your loan got sold the loan paperwork is messed up. It is even possible that the bank who says it owns the note, actually doesn't.Find a lawyer, if you can afford it, and ask about it.There is some fraud going on in all of these foreclosures, so you might want to look into this anyways.Barring that, simply ask for some time to get everything out.Remember once they change the locks, your stuff is THEIR stuff, as they can legally sell it to recoup some of the money you borrowed.

Default Fannie Mae Foreclosure in Georgia

wow, there is bad info here today. The truth is they will not change the locks unless the property is vacant and you can still get your stuff until the date of the sale just contact the number of property and preservation on the house and they will get you the keys. You have time although Georgia foreclosure happen fast. First Tuesday of ever month. If you do not fell comfortable doing this yourself contact a company to help. Remember you get what you pay for and a non profit will just give you the paperwork and rush you on your way. Go with a professional group although you may want to do it yourself.

You may want to do a "cash for keys" that will buy you a couple of months and get some money in your pocket. Do a google search on the phrase to learn how it works.
