Doing your own Loan modification is extremely time consuming and difficult.
80% of home owners are unsuccessful or give up after their lender refuses to budge,
or after the their lender gives them a work out option that is still unaffordable.
Not to say that it can't be done, because it can be done. However, statistics have shown that even if you do succeed in getting a loan modification the average person is still losing their home to foreclosure within a few months. Doing your own loan modification is like representing yourself in court. Yes, you have the right to do it, but do you really want to do that? I suggest at least consulting with an attorney because their are several options available to you when you are using an experienced attorney that knows your rights and how to fight your lender using the law. I am not against home taught courses, but you can literally have your loan modified and head ache free within a few weeks using an attorney.
