Default How did Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac contribute to

the Recession? I know what they are but how did they cause the current recession?

everything is bush's fault, so bush did something with them so that in essence it would promote overlending and excess speculation in the housing market and bubbles in other asset classes spread, now we are going through the effects of clensing the excesses in the economy, but the government would not like it to happen
