Default Why does the government investigate MLB but

not Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac? Seriously. Who cares about who uses steriods? I still don't understand that!! But the American citizens are expected to pick up the slack for some Enron wannabes and nothing? Seriously pisses me off! Our economy is ready to crumble because the government refuses to let Capitalism run it's course! These companies will never learn if you don't let them fail, why should they?BUY GOLD NOW!!!

Simple Answer: The Government or should i say the politicians have to much to lose if they let Mae and Mac fail. Meaning: Kick backs.

This is a great observation -- Its made me laugh but its pretty sad too. I lost interest in professional sports years ago because it just seems to be about money.

I used to care.

but it got me nowhere.

Now I just profit from the way things are.

That's practically a haiku but sums it up - there's too much at stake to let F/F fail. Also, to be sure, there are a ton of sleazy former mortgage salespeople with questionable ethics and marginal training who have slammed into loan modification as their career salvation post mortgage boom.

Which is driving the industry, but results in sometimes loan modification becoming oversold, to people who really should just move or deed in lieu.
