Default How to spot a foreclosure rescue scam

yahoo finance has this article on their front page. In point number 3 of the article they are telling consumers not to pay anything for help in negotiating with their lenders. They are directing them to non-profit organizations. How do the non-profits generate income to cover the expenses of maintaining their offices and websites??

Default Non profit companies to stop foreclosure

would you want to go to a free clinic to have surgery? The non profits send a few documents and send homeowners on their way. They are not negotiating for the homeowners and many times these homeowners are set up for failure. There is no way they can handle the case load and think of all of the people that have not seen the ad you saw. I haven't seen it I have been too busy helping homeowners stop foreclosure. And yes we take the cases and the homeowner just needs to save some money for the contribution.

The bottom line is if people can not afford their mortgage they can not save their home. If they have had set backs but now going forward they can afford their homes we can help, sometimes even reducing payments, although we never guarantee reduced payments. Being a member of the BBB helps!
