Has Anyone actually closed Cases??
We have been in the loss mitigation industry in Il for about 3 months. We started as an agent with another company we found on the internet. We submitted about 84 loss mitigation cases that were pre qualified, hoever none of them have ever actually reached the loan modification stage. I really need hear from someone who is successfully completing these deals. We have decided to move foreward on our own, but are still a little worried that we are 90 days into this without one single complete loss mitigation process under our belt. We do want to help people, but can we make a living doing this?

Loss Mitigation Companies
I hear you when I started I was too busy to work my own cases. I submitted to these "Loss Mitigation" companies and none were closed. I will be teaching the most difficult part of the business, selling the service to a homeowner that has $0.00. You had better know the business before talking to these people. I have heard on just about every call I make or take that I really made the homeowner feel confident and that is why they used us rather than another company. "You really know the business" is the remark I hear the most. They have spoken with other companies and they had no confidence in their skills. So be prepared to answer the questions and know your business.
Hope US Loss... is not the company, I have personally dealt with them and what a nightmare.

What Loss Mitigation outsource company to use
oh, by the way yes we close cases. We are opening to let a few people use our negotiators for a while and I am focusing more time on writing the manual because there is a seerious need here.
As an FYI I was a negotiator for a real Loss Mitigation company as a matter of fact I worked for a lender.

I too have closed cases, and been paid. I've used other companies and found that there are some better than others.

Loss Mitigation Negotiators
We actually have negotiators that are actively working with lenders on staff. I will not name the lenders to keep the negotiators on staff. We are ramping up to start working more deals for brokers, real estate agents...

Yes closed cases on Loan Mod's, and short sales. I too tried the foreclosure loss mitt training mills. While it was good info. Nothing beats getting into the trenches.

We are finalizing and should be rolling out right around Christmas so may wait until new year to start the push. Those that have enrolled on the forum will get first contact.

Closing Cases
I am wondering if people are closing cases on their own - working with lenders - or working thru attorneys - or other Loss Mitigation companies - also what is the average/industry turn time for closing cases? I have heard many different things and am wondering what is happening with other consultants - specifically in the Southern California area.
