balance on American Express Card? please read before answering...? I have the American Express Gold card, that has the pay in full portion, which is basically like a charge card and then the pay over time portion which is like a credit card. so my balance is $1103 (820 pay in full / 283 pay over time) This balance will change every month due to the charge card feature. I am applying for a mortgage and the mortgage officer tells me that my minimum balance is too high and needs a letter from American Express to verify what my minimum balance on the credit card portion is (Which american express refused, saying they can't do that). My question is, has anyone else encountered this problem and how did they solve it...?I should clarify that the $1103 is the minimum balance on last months statement (christmas expenses, etc...)My total debt on the card is $14000 pay over time, which are tuition expenses that my employer will reimburse me for once completed, plus whatever I charge on a monthly basis that are paid off the following month...
