Default Florida divorced, how can I remove myself from the

mortgage? My house is also in Florida. We had a quicky divorce because life was so out of control at the time. Now my name is on the mortgage of a house he won't leave, rent, or sell. He is often late on the payments and I don't earn enough money to make up for the huge debt on my credit report. How can I get out of the mortgage so I can try to earn some credit worthiness??? Please, any advice???

You will have to satisfy the requirements of the mortgage to begin with. If your name is on the paperwork, then you are legally responsible for half.
