...do I have to name my real estate agent? I continue to have problems with the bank I'm using to close on a house. The loan was accidentally deleted from their system at one point and we have done three 15 day extensions with HUD to give the bank enough time to get all the documents together. Unfortunately, HUD has given an ultimatum to close by a certain date and the bank claims they will be four days late to make that happen. Meaning, we probably won't close on the house unless HUD takes pity on us. If HUD doesn't let us close, I plan to sue the bank for my earnest money, extension fees, and other costs. The real estate lawyer I've found wants to name not only the bank in the lawsuit (I'm getting very prepared), but include the seller's agent and my agent. My agent is a good friend and I feel she hasn't done anything wrong through all of this. Do I have to name her since she was involved with the process? The lawyer is probably power hungry and wants to bring down anyone involved to make sure I get reimbursed.
