How likely is it to get approved for a...
...mortgage if it has passed through the automated UW? How likely is it to get approved for a mortgage if it has passed through the automatic underwriter? I'm a first time home buyer and I really don't know what to expect.

It's very likely to be approved but the live underwriter will still ask for more information and documentation. Be prepared to give them exactly what they ask for, no more and no less. Do not make any major purchases or move any money around unless it's as directed.
