Default Is using the same collateral for 2...

...different mortgages legal? Basically I have 2 mortgages from different companies with the same collateral. They were both originally written by the SBA but one was sold to another bank. One mortgage is for a house with 60 acres of land as collateral, and the second was for a mobile home park with the same 60 acres as collateral. I heard that this was illegal is that true?
