Default who do I see about being wronged by my mortgage...

...company? I've applied for a loan modification with my mortgage company (Wachovia) through the H.A.M.P. program, 4 times in the last 17 months. Each time we have applied the decision comes back "ineligible" and when we try to get the reason for denial sent to us, all we get is a bunch of cow droppings and a new application which requires all new info, updated financial material etc. This last application was denied due to "unable to reach 31% HTI". Which means mortgage payment to income ratio per the Obama plan. Well it was only after speaking with several reps from wachovia that we found out the underwriter had dismissed over half the income we submitted because it "wasn't verified". We were not asked for verification, nor were we contacted to address the issue, they just denied it. We received the "final decision letter" on the 24th of Feb. which was dated the 17th of Feb. and gave us 30 days from the date of the letter (17th) to respond or supply any additional documents that may be relevant.I called our "home preservation specialist" and left three voice mails for a return call regarding the matter, and never received them. It was only after I called the loss mitigation # and had an "escalation" put on the gentleman that I got a call back. After a 1.25 hr. conversation with this man that was so full of back stepping, fumbling with words and complete contradictions between the first part and the last part of the conversation that I realized he was being coached in the background.I was told that being a sole proprietor, the ONLY document they could use to establish my income was my P&L(profit and loss)report. The P&L was less than half my income so it put our HTI outside the guidelines of the Obama Mod Plan requirements for servicers to abide by.....A week goes by and we receive 8 copies of "notice of default"(filed on the 10th of Feb.) and intent to foreclose filed with the county. I thought we had 30 days to respond???? Today's the 10th of March and the last day to dispute the claim against the notice and I can't get the mortgage company to call me back. WHO CAN I SPEAK TO THAT WILL HELP ME FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE CROOKS TRYING TO TAKE MY HOME???? There has to be a legitimate watchdog group that is keeping the banks at least semi-honost, right? My home is worth more than I owe which makes it more appealing to foreclose on.Can you shine a light in the rite direction?
