My husband and I currently have a land contract on our home. I do not work so the house is just in my husbands name . We need to get a mortgage because we only have 3 years on the land contract but my husband has poor credit. we are working on his credit and have decided to put off refinishing our garage incase we cant get his credit up enough and don't want the owner to make out on us finishing it and him increasing the home value if we don't get a loan. anyways, we have never been late on our house payment in the 2 years we have lived here, does anybody know of any places that will give loans either to people with poor credit or to somebody who has not been late on their house payment? we only owe a little over $40,000 on our house so it wouldnt be a huge loan. our bank will not give us a loan because you have to be at your job for 2 years and imy husband just started working for the state 9 months ago
