Default if i have +100k yearly income. But only 15k

comes from my job, can i get a mortgage? I moved to the US 2 years ago. Me and my husband are still together but he didn't move to the US because of his business. We only moved to get our citizenship. Anyway, I work a job only to pay taxes and prove i am here. However, my husband sends us wire transfers of at least 10k$ monthly. We were thinking about buying a house. Will I qualify for mortgage, even if my job income is low? I have good credit (most likely 700+)Our income is from the business abroad and that's where we pay taxes! Please help! ThanksPS. house is 130k we are planning to put 30k as a downpayment!

Hi Naden, My wife has dual citizenship so maybe that why our income will work for us, BUT - speak with a lender; if not your bank. Or, just become friendly with your bank associates and tell of your situation. The fact is you and your husband are bringing in over $10k a month. And, you have $30k to put down. You could pay for the entire mortgage within a year. But, you want those tax breaks. So, its up to you and your husband; if, you want a 15 or 30 or 40 year mortgage. I hope and pray that this info helps. And, that your long distance relationship will be short. Good Luck and Grace in all you do.
