My boyfriend and I are looking for houses and have been approved over the phone for a mortgage. Now, when it comes time to show income for the past two years and there has been a lapse of a year because my boyfriend was in jail, will that possibly cause our mortgage to be denied? He had the same job before, kept it after, and was even promoted. That should show some stability right?We did get a pre approval letter from submitting info over the phone.
