Default Is it legal for the seller to call the buyers...

...mortgage company? My husband and I are currently in the process of buying a house. Closing has taken a little longer than expected but it was the mortgage company dragging it's feet, not anything we could have made faster. The sellers have been TERRIBLE through this entire process. Our mortgage company just called to tell us we are closing on Thursday...they also told us that the seller's wife had called them trying to get information about our case and so on. I was just wondering if that was legal?? The mortgage company told us they wouldn't give her any information. I was just wondering. Thanks
