Default getting a mortgage- should i apply by myself or

with husband? Ok so here is the long story short. In two years my husband and I want to buy a house. My credit score is 720, probably will be 730ish after the 2 years. His is 540 and won't be able to go up for 7 years. He is working and I am not. Which would work better to get a mortgage- me applying by myself, listing all of his income (40k/year) under my 'income from other sources' section- or us applying together? We are planning on having 20%.Why can't I list his income in the spot that I said?Where we live 40k is a lot.
