Is there a way to refinance a mortgage without...

...changing the amortization schedule? For eg: If you are 8 months into a $100K loan @10% and the same lender offers you a rate of 9%. Is there a way to just reduce the monthly payment considering the new (9%) rate and the amortization just picks up from Month 9.
