Who have to pay mortgage part if something happen to...

...my husband? My husband and his ex-wife have mortgage, they owe more than the house cost. Who have to pay a half of mortgage if something happen to my husband, me or his ex-wife? We live in RI.I live with my husband in the house and his ex-wife rent hers own, another one.
