ago, can he increase my rent? My landlord has been trying to increase my rent for a while now, but I have a year lease with him and he cant. I guess that the mortgage went up a few months ago and now he is saying that he is going to increase my rent. My question is: can he increase my rent because his mortgage went up a few months ago? Would he have to increase everyone's rent or would he be able to increase just mine? I live in Michigan, I know laws are different in other states. Thanks for the help.
