Default My Mother took a mortgage and car loan in my name...

...and left the country, what can i do? She told me she needed my DL and SSN for a 'gas bill.' Then showed me documents that were signed with my name, but i never signed. Its been over 3 years and i don't know what to do? - my mom has since left the country and left me alone here with these debts that aren't mine. How can i fix this? - My mom should be in jail and she knows it.William - so as my parents speak a different language than me, and the attorneys, notaries, and the mortgage broker all speak her language - and i was in a different state (in school) when all these loans occurred - i made it up. Thanks dick. yes, i found out earlier but didnt know how or what to do. My credit report shows perfect payment history on 5 tradelines - the only 2 are the mortgage and this one car. All checks that were paid to Countrywide were from my Mom (countrywide rep showed me). I came here for help.. not smart answers on your speculations. She forged my signature and they all go to the same church - So am i to sue all of them? - should i make a police report and contact a lawyer?

You are right. Your mom belongs in jail. What she did is illegal, but since it was 3 years ago and you've never reported her to the authorities, I don't know that you can do so now. She's nowhere to be found so she can't even speak on her behalf!I would visit a good criminal attorney and see what he advises. The first consultation is free and you're under no obligation to use his services.I'm not sure that this can be "fixed" because you've waited so long.
