Do mortgages help build your credit?
I am 21 and think it would benefit me more to get a house that i can make my own then to waste money renting. My credit score isn't great but i pan to pay off all my debt this year. I want to make sure it wouldn't be a bad idea and seeing that i am so young what my chances would be of getting a mortgage? I also plan to get an apartment for at least a year to save a decent down payment..
