...present Mortgage holder.? How do I get a reduced rate from the current lender I'm involved without going through all that hoohaa when you refinance. I'm happy with the way my loan is set up I would, like everyone else, have a reduced payment at the end of the month.

Good Luck with that, you may have been able to negotiate a lower rate before taking the mortgage but now that you own the home you plan to call them and say "I want to pay you less" they will likely laugh in your face. Refinancing is your only real option here
