Default Mortgage Assistance in CT to someone who has not

defaulted.? I have been laid off for a year (unemployment extended) and my husband has been l/o for 5 months. He is still working PT and collecting unemployment. I have opted to take some classes while job hunting. We have never been late on our mortgage. We obtained it three years ago and since then have gone from a $80k income couple to a $30k income. We can't continue making the payments much longer but everything I find to assist states you either need more income or need to be 60 days delinquent. The income is just not here to be found and I refuse to ruin my credit by not paying... Any options I am missing???
