Default we filed for bankruptcy and cannot refinance or modify

our 2 mortgage. are there other options out there ? our current mortgage lender (which is a servicing company that our mortgage was sold to) does not want to work with us at all and all we want is to save up since we haven't been able to do so. We had to file for bankruptcy for our credit cards since we were so high in debt. I understand we can't refinance, but you would think that our mortgage company we are with now will at least work with us and prevent us from foreclosing???? we are extremely behind on one mortgage and about 2 months behind on the 2nd one. anyone have any suggestions out there that is legit? I heard about having your family members take the house to help, but is that really our only option?I don't want to just give the house to family members, however, people are telling me to sell it to them and then have it taken back in 3 years or so until we can actually refinance?? is that even a good idea? i heard good and bad.we don't want to loose our house. we love it and have done so much with it :-(

What is it you are trying to save? You already filed bankruptcy on your credit card debt. Add up your total debt, include your monthly living expenses. That's your starting point. What assets do you truly have? Asking relatives to help is wrong. You got yourself in this mess, not them. You can get your self out of this. 1st you need discipline. You cannot afford anything. Calculate how long it will take you to get out of debt and pay back the credit card debt. Put your home up for sale on a short sale. Take what ever is left to start renting an apartment. Have a garage sale. Sell what ever you can to start paying off your debt. If you look at this as a new beginning and focus on clearing your debt, you can do this.
