school? So I had a conversation ended up leaving me with a question that I had no idea what the answer was so I figured maybe someone on here who have some thoughts or ideas. A friend of mine has just spent the last two years or so in school with an apprenticeship program and last month started working full time with them. He is wanting to buy a home but there are two things that seem to stop this in its tracks. One, his credit is not in the best condition, he owed a lot of money. However in the last two years he has contacted every company listed on his credit and paid them back in an attempt to start from square one again. He now has very little debt (less then 1500) with one active credit card. Problem number two, is that because he was going to school for the last two years or so, he had no income to show for that time period. So now even though he has a good full time job and an education, it seems like its not possible to get a home loan. Is he going to have wait 3 years at this job before anyone will approve him or are there other options that he can consider? Any ideas I could share with him would be great. Thanks
