Default mortgage payments after separation?

My partner and i have separated and have a mortgage together.since we have separated he has not paid anything towards our mortgage.i am having to pay it all and im really struggling.is there anything i can do to force him to pay towards it.im worried if i can,t keep up the payments i will loose mine and the childrens home.That is no fault of my own.

talk to your mortgage company first and let them know what is going on and that you need your loan modified. at the same time try to talk with your husband and let him know he is not doing anything but ruining yours and his credit. I don't think that you can force him to pay. your mortgage company should be willing to help you.

You'll have to take him to court to force him to pay. You'll also need to either sell the house or buy him out of his half of the house if you want to keep it.
