Do I still need to continue making my
mortgage payments while my house is on the auction list? I bought my home 17mnths ago was never late on my mortgage til I had my baby 4mnths ago. My job does not offer maternity or leave w/pay, was home for 2mnths after having my first baby c-section during that time my husband's hours at work was cut drastically he started bringing home between $120-$180 bi-weekly. We got behind on all the bills including the mortgage, now we are 3mnths behind going on to 4mnths, mortgage is $1300 but we send what we can each month ($700). We have no family here and we can't afford daycare so my husband stays home with our daughter on the days I work since I still work 40hrs weekly and he works on my days off he still trying to get a night job. We was not approved for home modification 3mnths ago. We just received a certified letter stating our home is on auction sale date 12/01/09, Recontrust Company as Successor Trustee. What does this mean? Do we still need to continue making mortgage payments or stop making payments? My husband thinks we should stop sending payments, he says we need to start saving to find a place since we have only $3.85 in our checking and $0 in savings. What will happen if we stop sending in what payments we can afford. Do we need to start packing up our things? What should we do, what is the steps or process of having a home on auction? Does this mean the next letter to come is an eviction, does this mean an auction sign will be posted on our lawn? What happens if we vacant our home before the auction sale date? Help!!!!!!
