My loan went into underwriting about 11 days ago. My lender said she figured she would hear something within a week, and that she would contact me, but I haven't heard from her. I sent her an email last Friday, but she hasn't responded. I've been given a tentative closing date of June 22.Two questions:1 How often should I be hearing from my lender regarding the underwriting process or the status of my loan, etc?2. Would it be approriate if I sent her another email, politely asking for an update?Thank you for your serious answers!I'm a first-time home buyer and don't really have any idea what to expect from the experience.
