Mortgage Commitment vs Pre-approval?
I am in the process of looking for a home and I have pre-approval all set. I put an offer in on a place and I did not win as the other offer supposedly had mortgage commitment. Obviously this is more reliable than a pre-approval but I did not know it is possible to get a full commitment before you know what house you are going to buy. Is it possible to have a mortgage commitment before putting an offer in or is something wrong here?
