Can my boyfriend get a mortgage using unemployment as an

income? My mom moved in with us and our two kids and our house is just too small. However, by boyfriend was laid off a year ago and has been collecting unemployment while going back to school. I waitress and do pretty well and my mom get an annuity every month, so we have plenty of income. Im just not too sure how lenders look at this.
