Default If I make a large payment on my mortgage on
the principal will that lower my monthly payment?

Nope but it will shorten the length of the term.

Dont do it without asking first. Sometimes it will only come off the end payments. So call each loan has its own rules and specifics, if you know they are the only ones who done.
