Who does mortgage PMI benefit? Why is it even part
of a mortgage? I just don't understand mortgage PMI? all it does is increase your monthly payment and make it more difficult to pay.

I've used it a couple of times to get people out of foreclosure and i've seen banks use it as well its a pretty good insurance to have for the first 5 years of your loan...
