I had owned my own business that went under and after paying what I needed for that and taking a job that paid less we found our selves behind. We had also sign on an ARM which at the time we truly did not understand it so our house payment had gone up over 300 per month. Situation has changed due to we were trying to do a loan modification with them. I was told that I had to send in some paper work (i.e financial statement and letter of hardship. I faxed all of it on the 10th I called back and was told to wait 24 hours. I called back on the 12th to find out that I had forgotten a date on the hardship letter and a signature on the financial paper. I had to re-fax them in that day. I asked about the sale date of the 17th. I was told that as long as I get the paper work in before the 17th they would not sale my house. I did get the paper work in on the 12th and verified with them. We learned on the 20th when a real estate agent knocked on our door to tell us that our house had gone to sale. I don't know what to do as I do not want to loose our house. I have been trying to get them to listen to the call where there own rep told me it would be OK.

When you say your house has gone for sale, do you mean that it is scheduled for auction or does the bank somehow already own the home? Please clarify. Thank you.
