If you cannot make a payment, contact the company that you owe the payment to and explain your difficulty in paying. Work out an agreement with them to pay later or to pay less each month. Do NOT just ignore the payment...this could ruin your credit score, accumulate alot of interest, and perhaps have legal consquences. Bad bad idea.

When you say you cannot afford your mortgage payment, is this a TEMPORARY situation or a PERMANENT one? If it is temporary, you should contact your lender and see if something can be arranged to decrease or defer the montly payment for a few months. If it is a permanent situation, they you should see whether or not a Loan Modification could assist you. It all depends on what rate you are at now and how much you would save a month if it was reduced. Hope this helps.

One thing I recommend is checking out this site To view links in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. Your post count is 0 momentarily. because but also give you free modification assistance or something. Its cheap i think its like less than $40 bucks and you pay a monthly fee of like 30 dollars to update the report anytime and make sure you get the best loan! they qualify you based on the application you fill out so it checks out your situation..i got this and it helped me..hope that helps!
