Default Mortgage payment adjustment?

Why would my mortgage company LOWER my payment by $400? I have a fixed rate of 5.7+/-% on $178k...no escrow changes...Thoughts?FYI - it was last month when they adjusted the payment lower. I paid the old amount online. When I looked at the actual bill this month the difference (overpaid, I guess) was called a principle curtailment.

Damn! You lucky dog. I have no clue?Maybe they did a re-evaluation on your mortgage and came up with a new figure??Don't really know, but you might want to call on Monday to make sure (check on it) about that so that you not hit with an increase later on down the line.:-)
