Yesterday I called my lender to inquire about a loan modification. I asked if I can hire a loan modification company to work with my request. The representative told me that they have a list of accredited companies that I may choose from to hasten the process. I asked if they provide it for free. He said that it would cost as much as or lower than most companies charge the only difference is that I will be in their priority list if I will use the service of those accredited ones. Is this a normal procedure?
