the act will end at the end of 2014, there are new rules in place. The deduction of PMI will extend upto 2015. There are some other changes about investment properties that you move into and cooperative housing.

i don't think there is such a thing, u must pay your bills, including the mortgage. if u don't pay, the bank WILL take your house. they show NO mercy. a frienda mine lost his home when he was laid off & he was unable 2 get a job anywhere. i think the various places were discriminating against his age which i think caused him 2 lose his home. 2 this day, no 1 even in our neighboring town has hired him. needless 2 say, he lives w/ his mom who's supporting them both on SSI & she even pays ALL rent, utilities, & food. right now, he has a nice van that needs some maintenance & it's been sitting a few yrs now cuz he don't even have the $$$ 2 pay 4 the repair it needs. even if he sold it the $$$ only goes so far w/o constant income. what this all boils down 2 is that once his mom's gone, i dunno where he'll b. i'm concerned he may end up homeless if he don't get hired somewhere or get some sort of income.
